The Sensirion SEK-SHT40I-HD1B analog humidity evaluation kit works as a demonstration platform that integrates with the SHT40I-HD1B analog humidity and temperature sensor. The evaluation kit allows the user to monitor and track humidity and temperature in the industrial applications like refrigeration, air conditioning, and several other noise-heavy applications. The humidity sensor kit provides accurate analog feedback for temperature- and humidity-sensitive applications thanks to robust housing and enhanced ESD protection.
The evaluation kit is designed to work in environments with higher levels of noise. Typically, these environments cannot harness the power of digital solutions. However, the SEK-SHT40I-HD1B is designed for high-noise environments, delivering a promised accuracy of relative humidity of ±2.5% and temperature accuracy of ±0.5°C. Moreover, it’s designed for long-term applications with no more than 0.5% drift in accuracy every year. Hence, its longevity is a useful option for industrial applications.
Moreover, the operating temperature range is quite wide as the sensor works from -40 to +125 degrees Celsius. Therefore, it can withstand harsh industrial environments and monitor temperatures on assembly lines, cleanrooms, etc.
The sensor is mounted on a flexible printed circuit board with a robust housing that resists dust, water, and chemicals. As a result, it becomes an all-round product for both indoor and outdoor applications.
The evaluation kit features a comprehensive set of sensors and connectors to help developers establish instant and reliable connections with a centralized controller. There are three humidity sensor modules, each mounted on a flexible PCB that is connected to an RJ45 connector.
The connector links with the SEK-sensor bridge, which ensures connectivity of the sensor with a PC. As a result, the user can monitor and configure the sensor through a GUI. It helps rapidly evaluate and prototype humidity trackers and other temperature-related applications.
The kit is also accompanied by the SEK-ControlCenter software. The sensor evaluates the connected sensors, and its intuitive interface allows beginners and advanced developers to track and measure sensor data directly on their screens.
Thanks to a simplistic design, the ControlCenter software allows the user to:
