What we do
Lightyear were founded in 2016, by a handful of ambitious Dutch engineers. 5 years later, we grew into an international team, whose mission is to bring clean mobility to everyone, everywhere. Our first vehicle, Lightyear One, is an electric-driven solar car. Its secret lies in the bumper-to-bumper integrated solar panels, which, combined with a regular outlet charging, showcases the major advantages of driving this vehicle: independence and sustainability.
