Premium Tactile Solutions for Modern Human-Machine Interfaces
The TactSure platform combines tactile performance with the dependability required by professional equipment manufacturers worldwide.
Users never think about the switch behind the button. They just expect it to work every time, with the same precise feel, for the life of the equipment. That expectation is exactly what makes tactile switch design such a demanding engineering problem. Usability, environmental resilience, mechanical durability, and long-term consistency all have to hold together in a single component.
As products get smarter and more connected, that bar keeps rising. Manufacturers aren't shopping for components anymore; instead they're shopping for solutions that lift perceived quality and differentiate their equipment in crowded markets.
Littelfuse built the new TactSure™ family of premium tactile switches to meet that shift head-on.
Developed and manufactured in France, TactSure draws on decades of tactile switch expertise and pairs premium feel with the reliability professional equipment manufacturers require. The platform targets industrial, medical, and transportation applications, delivering extended operating life and application-specific engineering that helps manufacturers build more dependable, more seamless interfaces.
Built for Demanding Industries
TactSure switches go into equipment where service life, consistency, and tactile quality are design requirements, often in hostile environments or mission-critical systems. In industrial settings, that means control panels, factory automation, robotics, and operator interfaces. In medical equipment, it's diagnostic devices, patient monitoring systems, lab instrumentation, and safety-critical tools like surgical devices. In transportation and automotive, TactSure switches show up in control panels, infotainment systems, steering wheel controls, and HVAC interfaces.
Across every one of these markets, consistent tactile feedback and dependable switching directly raise equipment quality while cutting service and maintenance overhead.
Solving the Full Range of Interface Challenges
Modern human-machine interfaces deal with vibration, environmental exposure, tight mechanical tolerances, acoustic demands, and rising performance expectations all at one time. TactSure addresses each of these through application-focused series, engineered independently but built around one shared goal: premium tactile performance, long service life, and dependable operation.
Precise Mechanical Motion
Actuators, levers, and triggers apply force at angles instead of straight down on the switch. TactSure™ MD (Multi-Directional) handles that directly. It's engineered for reliable operation whether force comes in vertically, horizontally, or at sharp off-axis angles, giving engineers more design freedom without sacrificing tactile feedback or switching reliability.
That makes MD the right fit for trigger mechanisms, side-actuated controls, and position-dependent interfaces where mechanical motion has to translate into a precise switching event. Supporting large actuation angles and multiple force directions simplifies mechanical integration and sharpens control accuracy for the end user.
Powerful Stable Performance
TactSure™ HD (Heavy Duty) started as a solution to performance problems in professional power tools, and that heritage shows. It's built for continuous vibration and mechanical stress, with an architecture that holds stable contact performance under harsh conditions, ultimately cutting downtime and extending equipment life in the process.
Rated for up to one million operations and available in gold- or silver-plated versions, TactSure HD fits power tools, industrial machinery, aerospace equipment, and any other application where vibration resistance isn't optional.
Soft Acoustic Profiles
Acoustic comfort matters as much as switching performance in many premium applications. TactSure™ LS (Low Sound) delivers a soft acoustic profile alongside enhanced corrosion resistance and long operating life. Gold-plated contacts handle low-current switching reliably, and endurance up to one million operations keeps that performance consistent for years.
An extended cage design lets manufacturers apply potting and encapsulation materials directly around the switch, adding another layer of environmental protection. The result: quiet operation, stronger environmental resilience, and extended service life for medical, transportation, and industrial equipment.
Extending the Platform
MD, HD, and LS each solve a specific interface challenge. But many manufacturers need one versatile platform that flexes across a broad range of applications, and that's where TactSure™ Core comes in.
Currently in development, TactSure Core combines tactile quality, design flexibility, and long-term reliability in a single platform. It's built for manufacturers who want to raise perceived product quality, build user trust, and cut maintenance needs across the equipment's lifetime.
Core specs include a travel range of 0.7 mm to 1.1 mm, a preload-friendly design that simplifies integration, endurance up to 1 million operations, and a choice of gold- or silver-plated contacts. A range of actuation forces lets engineers tune the tactile response precisely to their application, which gives Core the flexibility to serve as a premium switching solution across the next generation of human-machine interfaces.
Built Around Confidence
Every TactSure series shares one objective: helping manufacturers build interfaces that last longer, perform more reliably, and engage users more effectively. Whether the challenge is tactile feel, vibration resistance, multi-directional actuation, corrosion resistance, or acoustic control, TactSure delivers an application-focused answer.
Tactile interaction remains one of the clearest signals users have for judging quality, performance, and dependability. With the TactSure platform, Littelfuse is giving equipment manufacturers the consistency, longevity, and confidence their operators expect from every touch.
