These resistors ensure overvoltage and Undervoltage lockout in case the input voltage exceeds the threshold voltage. As a result, it adds a protective layer for sensitive devices such as sensor systems, factory sensors, etc. The adjustable lockout features disable the device until the input voltage falls inside the safe voltage range preventing damage to the connected circuitry from abnormal voltages.&nbsp;Likewise, the MAX17532A provides a programmable current limiting option for up to 1A.
