The Celluveyor PAL/ DEPAL is an invention by the company Cellumation, an innovative high-tech company creating modular flexible material flow systems used in production and logistics markets. This conveyor belt system was created for a flexible and multifunctional transportation of cargo instead of the basic rollers and pushers that travel straight forward with minimal change in direction and orientation.
The video exhibits the celluveyor at work in transporting and arranging boxes from a roller conveyor. Each cell is a hexagon shaped unit with 3 omnidirectional wheels that guide the cargo to where it needs to go. All of these cells can be clicked and assembled together into larger modules which can vary in any layer patterns, and pallet formats.
The throughput of the system can operate 40+ cases per minute, with a noise level of < 70 dB(A). It has a minimal space requirement of at least <3m ², with the smallest object it can transport having dimensions of 150mm x 150mm, and no limitation on the largest object it can transfer.
Automatic layout and error detection can identify which objects to be redirected. Easy maintenance is achieved through cell replacement that takes less than 5 minutes to repair. The cell is removed through screws and can easily be unplugged and plugged again for replacement.
