It features an advanced VCNL36825T proximity sensor for sensing and ambient light measurement, and offers standalone and SensorXplorer™ modes. ideal for small-space prototyping. </p><h2>Compatible with SensorXplorer Interface for Sensor Evaluation</h2><p>The VCNL36825T-SB Sensor Board features a USB-to-I2C interface. It allows the sensor board to work with the SensorXplorer to evaluate sensor modules. It also integrates with the software environment to harness the power of ready-to-use software modules. Hence, it can be used for instant prototyping and evaluation of distance measuring applications based on optical measurements. Moreover, the software offers a GUI-based configuration environment, making it easier for beginners to get their hands-on experience with the sensor board. </p><p>The board interfaces with a PC to capture data and configure the SensorXplorer with various performance parameters, allowing for testing under different working conditions. </p><p>The SensorXplorer software package is available for download online with free demos for easy prototyping. The SensorXplorer board features LED indicators, a 3.3V regulator, and multiple GPIOs, providing the VCNL36825T-SB with seamless connectivity for sensor data for evaluation. </p><h2>Simplified Standalone Operation </h2><p>The VCNL36825T-SB can also be used in a standalone mode. It features communication and power pins that allow it to transmit data directly to a microcontroller or processor unit. It can integrate with an I2C communication module through a male connector. </p><p>In addition to the sensor, the board also features a combination of LEDs, capacitors, and resistors for intuitive interfacing and configuration. </p><p>At the heart of the sensor board is the VCNL36825T chip. It uses a vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VSEL) in conjunction with programmable interrupts, photodiodes, and I2C communication modules.
