The ArcaBoard is a machine lifted by high power electric ducted fans. The user can turn off the stabilization system and steer the ArcaBoard with their body.<img src="https://s3-us-west-1.amazonaws.com/wevolver-project-images/froala%2F1596258626893-AB_Diagram.jpg" style="width: 730px;" class="fr-fic fr-dib"> The Electric Ducted Fans (EDF), together with the controllers and the batteries, occupy 90 percent of the space inside the board. This generates a significant amount of heat that is dissipated using a high-performance cooling system. The 36 power fans ensure that even in the case of multiple motor failures there are enough motors remaining to take over to keep riding.The ArcaBoard is equipped with onboard sensors that maintain it 30 cm above the ground and limit its speed to 20 km/h. The hoverboard senses the user's weight and automatically adjusts the thrust so that the distance to the ground remains constant. Should the user accidentally fall off, the hoverboard will immediately power off.Composite StructureArcaboard uses aerospace-grade composite materials to create a lightweight though stiff and resilient structure, to house the 36 electric motors and batteries. The weight of the composite structure alone is only10 kg (22 lbs). 203,000 W is a huge amount of power and the composite structure is a good thermal insulator, but the forced cooling system allows the ArcaBoard equipment to remain cool during usage.&nbsp;<img src="https://s3-us-west-1.amazonaws.com/wevolver-project-images/froala%2F1596258795641-froala_1547210364006-Image%2B3.jpg" style="width: 730px;" class="fr-fic fr-dib">ControlArcaboard can be controlled using iOS or Android smartphones or via Bluetooth, with either the stabilization system on or off. When the stabilization system is on, you have nothing to do, but just to sit on ArcaBoard and move the phone with your hand, and the ArcaBoard will replicate your hand movements. When the stabilization system is off, you can control only the elevation from your phone.&nbsp;By using 36 smaller electric ducted fans instead of fewer larger ones we ensure that the ArcaBoard keeps operating even in the case of multiple engine failures. Each engine is powered by its own set of batteries independently of the other power units creating multiple redundant systems.
