<p>AD74115H is a software-configurable input and output device designed for industrial applications. It’s a single-channel chip with a built-in 16-bit Analog Digital Converter (ADC) and a 14-bit Digital Analog Converter (DAC). There is an integrated HART modem to enable communication with HART-enabled devices.&nbsp;</p><p>It’s supported by a Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) to communicate with external microcontrollers, sensors, and computers. With on-board temperature sensors and digital capabilities, the chip is intended for use on the EVAL-AD74115H board. It’s designed for programmable power control applications that require isolation and high-speed communication.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><h2>Versatile On-Chip Conversion and Communication Modules for Flexible Performance</h2><p>The AD74115H features a combination of sensors and on-chip modules to facilitate flexible and high-speed interfacing. Its integrated HART modem facilitates digital communication for 4 to 20mA signals in the analog domain. It enables two-way communication allowing developers to read and configure external devices remotely.&nbsp;</p><p>Moreover, it can facilitate signals from 2-. 3-, and 4-wire resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) and thermocouples. It’s a single-channel device designed to ensure safe operations for low-voltage and low-current applications.&nbsp;</p><p>The on-chip SPI communication features make it easier to connect to external sensors and microcontrollers. The chip also features a 16-bit analog-to-digital converter and a 14-bit digital-to-analog converter with a high accuracy 2.5V on-chip reference. Therefore, it provides high-resolution performance and improved accuracy for both analog and digital applications.&nbsp;</p><h2>Programmable Power and Isolation for Safe Industrial Applications&nbsp;</h2><p>The AD74115H input-output is designed for isolation applications. It provides programmable power control (PPC) for positive analog supply. Hence, it has use cases in power optimization applications. The device also features an on-chip charge pump for unipolar capabilities.&nbsp;</p><p>It has a fully isolated software configurable I/O channel. Moreover, there are on-chip protectors such as screw terminals that cut off power to the IC when it has a higher voltage than the AVDD pin.&nbsp;</p><p>Moreover, the datasheet highlights the recommended external components for safe device usage.</p><h2>Seamless Evaluation with EVAL–AD74115H Board</h2><p>The AD74115H chip is designed to work with the EVAL-AD74115H evaluation board. This board allows quick and simplified setup and prototyping of systems based on the AD74115H Industrial IO. Along with the AD74115H, the evaluation board features the ADP1034 for power and isolation.&nbsp;</p><p>The evaluation board seamlessly syncs with external computers. It requires two pieces of software for operation and control.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><ul><li><p>The AD74115H evaluation software is compatible with Windows 7 and 10 operating systems.
