Siemens acquires Wevolver
Wevolver will join forces with Siemens subsidiary Supplyframe, establishing an unparalleled platform for the engineering community and industry.
Amsterdam, April 30th, 2025.
Today, we’re announcing the acquisition of Wevolver by Siemens. Wevolver will join Supplyframe, a company that was acquired by Siemens in 2021, and with whom Wevolver has had an ongoing strategic partnership.
Together, Supplyframe and Wevolver form the single largest destination for engineering professionals to access the knowledge and build the connections they need to innovate, design, and manufacture.
As CEO of Wevolver, also speaking on behalf of my co-founder Richard Hulskes, I am excited about the opportunities this acquisition creates and proud of what our global team has achieved over the past years.
Becoming part of the Siemens family opens significant opportunities to further grow our platform and community, and to increase the impact we make with the engineering resources Wevolver provides. Our desire has always been to serve the engineering community, to serve the people building tomorrow’s solutions, and this step will accelerate our journey.
Wevolver reaches millions of people every month on its web platform and social media channels, and since its inception Wevolver content has been accessed more than 1 billion times. Combining Wevolver with Supplyframe’s 70+ websites for engineering professionals creates a uniquely powerful information network. Supplyframe provides access to data on over 1 billion electronic components, including real-time availability and lead time data, along with 700,000 downloadable 2D and 3D models.
Our combined intelligence about what engineering professionals research, build, and care about makes us perfectly positioned to support the engineering community and to provide customers with an end-to-end solution for reaching and connecting with the users and buyers of their technologies.
At Siemens, Richard’s and my role will focus on growing the community and user base across the entire Supplyframe network, including the Wevolver platform.
We are grateful for everyone who has supported us so far on our journey; our team, our community, customers, investors, and partners, and we are looking forward to continuing this journey together with Supplyframe and Siemens.
Bram Geenen & Richard Hulskes,
Co-founders Wevolver.
