Touch screen user interface is ubiquitous on everything from smartphones, and laptops to ATMs. In this video, the Franka Emika robot tests the touchscreen functionality of two phones. Testing the touchscreen is an important part of the production cycle as well as for refurbishing products. Using a robot such as the Frank Emika, testing can be done with extreme uniformity enabling higher accuracy and faster completion.

The robot is trained to do the task simply by being manually guided, which means almost anyone in a facility can program the robot without technical expertise. The robot can work independently without pause for long periods of time with no loss of accuracy or pace.
