AI Innovation Center collaborates with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to accelerate the use of AI

High Tech Campus Eindhoven (HTCE) and its AI Innovation Center today announced a collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS). The new collaboration aims, through education and inspiration, to increase the implementation and usage of AI services and machine learning (ML), as these technologies not only transform business, but also transforms research and development. 

“AWS’ new role at the AI Innovation Center bolsters the center’s core mission for open innovation and collaboration”, said Paul van Son, Founder of the AI Innovation Center. “Working closely with industry leaders, such as AWS, is key to enable adoption of AI on Campus and throughout our region. AWS brings technical knowledge to the table and provides in-depth explorations of various tools and platforms,” said Paul van Son.

AWS will collaborate with the AI Innovation Center originally established in 2021. The Center hosts AI companies such as Axelera AI, cboost, Datacation and Serendipity.

“Axelera AI already has a strong relationship with AWS,” said Fabrizio Del Maffeo, founder and CEO of Axelera AI, one the fastest-growing residents of the AI Innovation Center. “We have been using the AWS cloud for a long time and are delighted to now be able to collaborate closely in our AI ecosystem.”

AI/ML has quickly become essential for a wide range of applications including natural language processing, computer vision, generative AI, fraud detection, demand forecasting, product recommendations, preventive maintenance, and document processing. With its goal of democratizing access to AI and machine learning (ML) for customers, and every developer, data scientist and researcher, AWS has a broad and deep portfolio of AI and ML services.

As part of the new collaboration AWS will deliver different educational and inspirational sessions and events on Campus. AWS will also have a dedicated space at the AI Innovation Center where AI and ML demos will be showcased. The first AWS event, focused on how to unlock the potential of data in manufacturing, will take place on May 9th 2023 at the AI Innovation Center. Following that, on May 24th 2023, AWS will address how to fine-tune and add Generative AI to products.
