About

In my current role, I'm co-developing material printing strategies for existing materials and investigating new materials for 3D printing using FDM at Ultimaker. Researcher with broad technical knowledge as well as clear communicative and management skills. Experienced in processing and characterizing a broad range of materials including hybrid materials, polymers and specifically charged and porous membranes, and their applications (desalination, ion transport, water purification). For his PhD research, he worked on membrane modification, electrochemical characterization of such membranes and stacks, and developing energy harvesting processes with these membranes and salty aqueous streams. Interested in major challenges for the future: renewable sources of energy, the availability of clean water, alternative chemistries based on electricity and high-performance materials.
