Sebastian Jutzi, born in Bad Kreuznach in 1967, studied biology at the University of Saarland and journalism at the University of Hohenheim after completing high school and civil service. As an editor, he worked for the magazine bild der wissenschaft and ZDF . Since 2001, the science journalist for the news magazine Focus has been writing articles on biology, the environment, medicine, the internet and technology. The people and nature of Africa are his great passion. On numerous trips he has explored the continent south of the Sahara intensively.
