Brain-computer interfaces function by gathering data on biophysiological activity in the brain, which is then analyzed by software to extract and classify data features.Electrical signals in the brain are recorded with EEG electrodes and then translated into commands for external devices by Neurable’s software.&nbsp;EEG measures electric activity in the brain caused by the flow of electric currents through neurons. EEG is capable of acquiring a variety of signals from the brain, including the frequency bands delta (δ), theta (θ), alpha (α), beta (β) and gamma (γ).The EEG headset is a custom headband that integrates with HTC Vive VR goggles. It has a Boa fit system to ensure comfortable size adjustment and accurate sensor placement on a wide range of head sizes. The outward facing twist knobs allow the user to gently burrow the comb-like EEG sensors through his or her hair to make subtle contact with the scalp.Neurable’s BCI platform uses machine learning to classify EEG control signals in real time. The platform is specifically designed for developers of mixed-reality experiences.
